Kyiv, Ukraine — Ukraine’s parliament on Tuesday voted to dismiss Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko after he tendered his resignation amid a corruption investigation involving an official in his office, China’s Xinhua news agency reported.
The motion, submitted by President Volodymyr Zelensky, received 317 votes, well above the 226 required for approval.
Kravchenko submitted his resignation last week after Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau accused a deputy department head in the Prosecutor General’s Office of leading a criminal organization.
Kravchenko himself has not been officially named as a suspect in the case, according to Xinhua.
He had served as Ukraine’s prosecutor general since June 2025.
