Metro Manila, Philippines – Two were killed in a shooting at the Ateneo de Zamboanga University junior high school campus early Tuesday morning, Aug. 18, the university said.
The Ateneo de Zamboanga University said it is coordinating with authorities as it gathers more information.
The Department of Education (DepEd) expressed concern over the report, saying it is ready to extend support and assistance to learners, families, school personnel, and authorities.
The agency said it is in contact with mental health partners to provide psychological first aid and psychosocial support.
Meanwhile, a video on social media purportedly showing the alleged suspect livestreaming the crime on Facebook.
