Prime Video Brings the NBA Finals to Filipino Fans

As the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs battled it out in Game 2 of the 2026 NBA Finals, over 120 basketball fans gathered in Mandaluyong City for the NBA on Prime Video: NBA Finals Watch Party, celebrating the Finals’ live and exclusive availability on Prime Video.

A Prime Watch Party Experience

Held at Bigger Pictures, the watch party kicked off at 7AM, with attendees partaking in a breakfast before the start of the game. The venue was transformed into a Finals-inspired basketball arena, complete with an NBA-themed entrance tunnel and cinematic live viewing setup that gave attendees a front-row experience to one of the biggest moments in sports.

As the game unfolded in real time, supporters for both teams cheered and celebrated, as roars echoed throughout the venue, recreating the energy and atmosphere of a true courtside experience. The event also featured fan engagement segments, live hosting, halftime entertainment performances, and interactive moments that captured the passion Filipino fans have long shown for basketball.

Throughout the venue, fans immersed themselves in various NBA-inspired installations and activities, including a Shoot Arcade, Pass Game Booth, and themed photo wall.

An Exciting Game for a Thrilled Community

Fans erupted throughout the venue as the New York Knicks secured a thrilling 105-104 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 2 of the NBA Finals while at San Antonio. The matchup featured a dramatic finish, with the Knicks holding off a late Spurs comeback attempt to claim a narrow one-point win. The action has then moved to New York City for Games 3 and 4.

As cheers echoed across the venue and fans celebrated every big play together, the event underscored the enduring connection between Filipino fans and basketball culture, transforming a Finals viewing into a shared community experience powered by Prime Video.
