Metro Manila, Philippines – Paramount Pictures has released the official trailer for the new “Scary Movie,” marking the return of the long-running horror parody franchise to Philippine cinemas on June 10.
The film reunites original stars Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris and Regina Hall, alongside Damon Wayans Jr. and other returning and new cast members.
According to the official synopsis, 26 years after escaping a masked killer resembling “Ghostface,” the Core Four once again find themselves targeted — this time in a Hollywood landscape dominated by reboots, remakes, sequels and so-called “final chapters.”
The film takes aim at modern horror trends, including elevated horror, legacy sequels and franchise revivals, with the studio teasing: “Nothing is sacred. No trope survives.”
Directed by Michael Tiddes, the movie is presented by Paramount Pictures in association with Miramax and produced by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans and Rick Alvarez.
