Metro Manila, Philippines — Google introduced a new AI-powered Search experience, smart glasses, and upgraded Gemini tools during Google I/O 2026, as the tech giant doubles down on artificial intelligence products for consumers and developers.
At the annual developer conference held in Mountain View, California, Google showcased Gemini Omni, a model capable of generating videos using text, photos, and video clips, alongside Gemini 3.5 Flash, which the company described as its fastest and most advanced coding-focused AI model so far.
Google also announced a redesigned AI Search box that can process searches using images, files, videos, and even Chrome tabs.
The company also previewed its upcoming Intelligent Eyewear powered by Android XR. The audio-based smart glasses allow users to access Gemini hands-free for calls, music, navigation, and app functions without pulling out their phones.
Other announcements included Daily Brief, an AI-generated morning summary inside the Gemini app, Gemini Spark, an always-on assistant that can proactively manage digital tasks, and Antigravity 2.0, a desktop application designed to coordinate multiple AI agents simultaneously.
Google said rollout timelines and wider global availability would be announced in the coming months.
