Marcos orders Cabinet to submit biweekly project report

Metro Manila, Philippines – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has ordered his Cabinet secretaries to submit biweekly reports on the progress of their agencies, Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said.

Castro on Friday, Jan. 30, shared that the president met with his economic team to discuss reform and concrete actions. This came after reports of the country’s poor economic growth in 2025 on Thursday.

“Ipag-uutos din ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. ang pagmo-monitor sa mga ahensya at kanilang mga proyekto kada dalawang linggo para makita ang progress or progreso nito,” Castro said.

[Translation: President Marcos Jr. also ordered the monitoring of agencies and their projects every two weeks to monitor their progress.]

The Palace also warned all Cabinet members about filing falsified reports.

“Huwag ninyong subukang magbigay ng maling report,” said Castro. “Ang sinabi niya, kapag nagkaroon ng report, ayaw niya po na dahil lang sa magkakaroon ng monitoring every two weeks ay maliin ang report o papogiin ang report,” she added.

[Translation: Do not try to submit a false report. The president says he doesn’t want agencies to provide false or embellished reports just because there will be monitoring every two weeks.]

Castro expressed the president’s desire to receive organized reports for all the projects of each agency.

“Iyan po ang nais ng pangulo moving forward at kailangan hindi lang basta move forward, kung hindi dapat na mas maging maayos ang pagri-report ng bawat ahensiya na may mga proyekto,” she  said.

[Translation: The president doesn’t just want to move forward but also to have an improved reporting of each agency with projects.]
