Metro Manila, Philippines – The government has ramped up border screening against the possible entry of people infected with the zoonotic disease, Nipah virus, a spokesperson said on Thursday, Jan. 29.

In a press briefing, Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said the Health Department has aligned protocols with updates from the World Health Organization.
