Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 7) — West zone concessionaire Maynilad on Saturday said that it has allotted ₱1.07 billion for the expansion of the storage capacity of Bagbag Reservoir in Quezon City, which serves as its main reservoir.
Maynilad said the Bagbag Reservoir, which can store up to 200 million liters (ML) of treated water, serves some four million customers in Quezon City, Caloocan City, Malabon, Navotas, Manila, Makati, Pasay, and parts of Paranaque City and Cavite.
The expansion project aims to add another 100 ML to the reservoir’ s capacity by constructing a new chamber in it.
Other enhancements also include installation of a 1,800mm-diameter inlet and outlet pipeline, construction of a new tank, and upgrade of the refilling pumps.
