Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 8) — A fire tore through Barangay San Dionisio in Parañaque City Saturday afternoon.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire at the Lorenzana Compound in San De Coastal broke out at 3:10 p.m., and quickly escalated to fourth alarm by 3:34 p.m.
It was declared under control nearly two hours later at 5:32 p.m., and was successfully put out by 5:55 p.m.
Five people were injured in the blaze. Damage was estimated at ₱750,000.
Around 150 homes and establishments were burned, affecting 300 families or about 480 individuals, according to the BFP.
