Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 9) — Ateneo Blue Eagles star Faith Nisperos will forgo her last playing years in the UAAP as she took a leap of faith to join the Akari Power Chargers in the Premier Volleyball League.
The 23-year-old outside hitter said that training under Akari head coach Jorge De Brito for the national team was one of the reasons she chose the neophyte team.
\”I chose to go to Akari for several reasons. Of course, number one, I worked well with the coach. Coach Jorge [De Brito] and I have worked together in 2021 when I was part of the national team,\” said Nisperos.
Nisperos was part of Team Rebisco during the Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship in 2021.
