Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — On Thursday (July 9 PHT) National Basketball Association (NBA) guard Jeremy Lin took to social media to announce his move to the Charlotte Hornets.

The undrafted guard took the NBA by storm in 2013 after a slew of injuries forced then New York Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni to utilize Lin more and inadvertently usher in “Linsanity.”
Since then, Lin has failed to live up to the dizzying heights of “Linsanity” after his move to the Houston Rockets during the 2013-14 season.
Lin spent one season with the Los Angeles Lakers with averages of 11.2 points and 4.6 assists in 74 games.
He is expected to share point guard duties in the Hornets’ backcourt with Kemba Walker.
