‘Tino’ death toll soars to 188, missing at 135
Metro Manila, Philippines - The number of people who were killed by Typhoon Tino’s wrath soared to 188, government data showed on Friday, Nov. 7.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council’s figures showed most of the fatalities or 139 were in Cebu.
Twenty-four deaths were in Negros Occidental; nine in Negros Oriental; six in Agusan del Sur; three in Capiz; two in Southern Leyte; and one each in Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras, Bohol, and Leyte.
Meanwhile, 96 individuals were hurt and 135 remain missing, mostly in Cebu.

Damage to agriculture was pegged at ₱10.6 million.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. declared a national state of calamity in the aftermath of “Tino’s” wrath.
