Metro Manila, Philippines – Actress Kris Aquino addressed what she described as “irresponsible and uninformed opinions” about her eldest son, Josh, in light of controversial podcast remarks, while revealing another autoimmune disease.

The podcast hosts made disparaging remarks about Josh, who is on the spectrum, while comparing him with his younger brother, Bimby. This drew criticisms online.

In a social media post, Aquino said a friend advised to disregard the podcast hosts.

“A friend who I admire for his wisdom told me there are people I should learn not to give oxygen to, in other words ignore and the issue dies a natural death. By never stating their names, or my feelings, they didn’t get the word war from me they were expecting,” she said.

Aquino said Josh stays by her side on afternoon naps and helps take care of her weekdays.

“He loves to say: ‘Mama your shoulder’s here.’ I sleep best with my head resting on Kuya’s shoulder and my arms wrapped around his left arm,” she wrote.

Aquino also revealed that she has developed another autoimmune disease, with symptoms she described as frightening.

She also explained that when she goes quiet on social media, it may be because pain has left her bedridden for as long as five days.

Despite health struggles, Aquino said she remains determined to fight for her sons, explaining that Bimby still needs more time to prepare for “his lifelong responsibility of taking care of his Kuya Josh.”

“That’s why ang mama nila hindi pa pwedeng isuko ang laban,” she said.
