The Commission on Elections (Comelec) presented this voting booth prototype to media on Monday (September 14).
It’s a voting booth made entirely of carton.
The poll body is thinking of bringing in 20 of these to each mall polling precinct, should the plan push through.
According to Comelec officials, the carton voting booth is portable and cheap.
Meanwhile, the commission also showed its interest in pushing through with its plan to set up voting precincts in malls next year.
According to Bautista, he already met with mall owners to discuss the plan.
