Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 27) – The Taguig City government on Sunday announced that the mega vaccination center in Bonifacio Global City will run until midnight starting this week, as it targets to eventually have the site operational 24/7.
This is to accommodate those who are unable to get their anti-coronavirus shot during earlier hours of the day due to their work, Taguig City said in a statement.
Mayor Lino Cayetano added those who intend to be vaccinated beyond curfew hours may simply show their appointment slip to law enforcers if needed.
The inoculation site, located on the second floor of B7, Lane P, Bonifacio High Street East, is originally operational only from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The city government said it plans to ultimately open this 24/7.
It also previously bared it is eyeing two other vaccination centers that would conduct non-stop operations. One would be in Barangay Calzada-Tipas, while the other would be in the Lakeshore Vaccine Training and Information Center.
The city has tallied 28,447 COVID-19 cases as of June 26, of which 483 are active, data from the local government showed. Meanwhile, it has inoculated a total of 238,853 individuals.
Earlier, Quezon City and Valenzuela City also launched night-shift vaccination for workers whose only free time is in the evening.
