Another fuel price hike seen next week

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 7) — Oil companies are set to again increase the prices of fuel products from May 10 to 16, Unioil Petroleum Philippines said on Saturday.

According to forecast, diesel price is seen to go up by ₱3.90 to ₱4.00 per liter while gasoline is expected to increase price by ₱4.00 to 4.20 per liter.

The price hike comes a week after oil firms announced a rollback, wherein per-liter rates of gasoline were slashed by ₱0.65 and both diesel and kerosene by ₱1.15.

The per-liter net increases of gasoline, diesel and kerosene prices stand at ₱17.80, ₱30.30, and ₱29.30 as of May 3, according to the Department of Energy’s oil monitor.
