PH to host preliminary leg of VNL men’s tournament in 2023

The league on Friday announced that Pasay City will be the venue for some of the games on July 4-9. The competing teams in the Philippine leg of the tournament are Japan, China, Slovenia, Brazil, Poland, Italy, Netherlands, and Canada.

Last June, the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City hosted games for both men’s and women’s tournaments during the VNL’s Philippine leg.

Aside from Pasay City, other host cities for the men’s tournament are Ottawa, Canada; Nagoya, Japan; Rotterdam, Netherlands; Orleans, France; and Anaheim in California, USA.

The VNL finals will be on July 12-16 for the women’s event and July 19-23 for the men’s competition. The host cities for the finals will be announced in December.

Team Italy won this year’s championship in the women’s division, while France bagged the crown in the men’s series.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 12) — The Philippines will again host one of the preliminary events of the Volleyball Nations League men’s tournament next year.
