Metro Manila, Philippines – The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) reminded government agencies to ensure the timely release of the year-end bonus and ₱5,000 cash gift to eligible personnel.
The DBM noted that both benefits must be released simultaneously with the first November salary and not through a separate or delayed payroll.
A total of ₱82.99 billion was allocated for the two benefits in the current fiscal year, covering qualified civilian, military, and uniformed personnel across the government. Of this amount, ₱73.449 billion is allotted for the year-end bonus, while ₱9.549 billion covers the ₱5,000 cash gift.
Budget Secretary Kim Robert de Leon said the funds have already been released to the concerned agencies, adding that government workers should receive their benefits without unnecessary delay.
“Alam po natin na malaking tulong ito sa ating mga kawani at kanilang pamilya, especially ngayong papalapit na ang Pasko. More importantly, this is our way of recognizing and thanking our government workers for their hard work, dedication, and continued service to the Filipino people,” De Leon said.

More importantly, this is our way of recognizing and thanking our government workers for their hard work, dedication, and continued service to the Filipino people.”]
Qualified recipients are government personnel who have rendered at least four months of aggregate service—equivalent to 120 days—from Jan. 1 to Oct. 31, and who remain in government service as of Oct. 31.
Qualifying service includes actual service rendered in regular, contractual, or casual positions in national or local government, including authorized leaves of absence with pay.
