Metro Manila, Philippines – “Above and beyond” — that was how Maria Katrina Llegado described her journey to becoming her best self as she was crowned Miss Supranational 2026, ending the Philippines’ 13-year drought for a second title in the international pageant.
During the final question-and-answer round, Llegado was asked about the moment she stopped trying to become the woman the world expected and instead becoming the woman she was meant to be.
“I always believe that we should never fit into a mold. We are perfectly imperfect. I am someone who struggles with perfection, but I’m here today doing my best, and becoming my best version. And here in Miss Supranational, I know I belong. I know a place for me, and this is becoming Supra, above and beyond,” she said.
Datul, the Philippines’ first Miss Supranational winner in 2013, congratulated Llegado in a social media post.
“Watching another queen begin this incredible journey brings back so many unforgettable memories,” Datul wrote.
“As the 2nd Miss Supranational, I’m excited to see you write your own story and inspire the world,” she added.
France was named first runner-up, followed by Brazil as second runner-up, Nigeria as third runner-up, and the Czech Republic as fourth runner-up.
