PBA: Ginebra dethrones TNT in Game 7, ends three-year title drought

Metro Manila, Philippines – Barangay Ginebra ended a three-year, seven-conference title drought, defeating the TNT Tropang 5G, 88-76, in Game 7 of the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup finals on Wednesday, June 17 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Justin Brownlee delivered another masterful performance for Ginebra with 30 points, 14 rebounds, and five assists in front of a record-breaking 24,617 crowd.

This is Ginebra’s first PBA crown since beating guest team Bay Area Dragons in the same conference back in 2023.

Scottie Thompson added 19 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists for Ginebra. He was hailed the Finals Most Valuable Player, his third award.

Ginebra now has four Commissioner’s Cup titles and 16 championships overall.

RJ Abarrientos and Troy Rosario each contributed 13 points for Ginebra.

Chris McCullough finished with 28 markers and grabbed 22 boards, while Jordan Heading had 21 points for TNT.
