Metro Manila, Philippines — Authorities recovered the body of a seventh victim from the collapsed building under construction in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City on Sunday morning, bringing the death toll to seven.

The Unified Command said the remains were found in Quadrant 2 of the collapsed structure, where City Health Office personnel carried out tagging and documentation procedures.

Angeles City Mayor Jon Lazatin said a vaccination card bearing a name was found at the site and may help identify the victim.

Lazatin said the find is still being verified, and that official identification of the victim would only be confirmed through the Disaster Victim Identification process.

Search, rescue, retrieval, and clearing operations remain ongoing as responders continue to search for other possible victims trapped beneath the rubble.

The city government has assured affected families that it will continue providing the necessary assistance and support as recovery efforts proceed.
