Metro Manila, Philippines – Fees at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange will be suspended for three months beginning May 18 in light of a directive from President Bongbong Marcos to help ease the burden on public utility vehicle (PUV) operators amid high fuel prices.

Transportation Secretary Banoy Lopez said his agency estimates that PUV operators in PITX may save more than ₱5 million during the suspension period.

[Translation: This initiative is a big help for them as their savings from terminal fees could be spent for fuel or other expenses.]

The privilege covers provincial buses, city buses, modern and traditional jeepneys, UV Express vehicles, and taxis.
