Metro Manila, Philippines – Wanted religious leader Apollo Quiboloy is hiding at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound in Davao City, the regional police chief said on Thursday, Aug. 8.

PBGen. Nicolas Torre III, Davao Police Office chief, said informants told the police about Quiboloy’s whereabouts.

He added that KOJC members are guarding the vicinity of the 30-hectare property.

Torre told reporters in an ambush interview.

In June, authorities entered the compound to serve an arrest warrant against Quiboloy, but they failed.

The police chief said the matter can be peacefully resolved if Quiboloy surrenders to the court.

Quiboloy is facing sexual and child abuse charges.

NewsWatch Plus reached out to Philippine National Police chief PGen. Rommel Marbil to confirm Quiboloy’s whereabouts and to the pastor’s legal counsel, Ferdinand Topacio, for a reaction. Both have yet to respond.
