Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 16) — Philippine bet Michelle Dee introduced herself as the candidate of “Filipinas” during the preliminary rounds of the ongoing 72nd Miss Universe in El Salvador.
The 28-year-old queen deviated from the usual English version “Philippines” and opted to use the Spanish translation as a small nod to the pageant’s host country.
