
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 3) — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said on Monday 30 buildings will be put up in San Fernando, Pampanga to house more than 8,300 families as part of the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) program.
“Siniguro natin na malapit ito sa mga ospital, schools, recreational facilities, pamilihan,” he said in his speech before inspecting the ongoing construction of the 9.8-hectare project in Barangay Del Carmen, Crystal Peak Estates.
[Translation: We’re making sure that the sites are near hospitals, schools, recreational facilities, and markets.]
The government said it has also in the pipeline housing projects in Minalin and Candaba towns also in Pampanga, designed for over 10,000 families.
According to the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, the projects would accommodate families in the public and private sectors, including overseas Filipino workers, employees of the local government, the Department of Education, the Philippine National Police, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
The government has broken ground in 28 areas nationwide for the housing program.
