The latest economic impact report of the World Travel and Tourism Council shows the sector contributed nearly 70 billion dollars to the Philippines’ Gross Domestic Product or GDP in 2022.
That’s about 17 percent of the total economy.
But this year, the sector’s contribution to the economy is expected to leap to 80 billion dollars.
