Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 4) — Meta’s Facebook Messenger is now trending on social media after netizens complained that the application had gone awry, reportedly resulting in lost media files.
Messenger users on Thursday reported that they could no longer access photos, videos, files, and links previously shared with their friends or contacts on the app.
As a result, the topic \”Facebook Messenger\” trended on Twitter, garnering about 4,360 tweets as of this writing, though the number is still increasing.
CNN Philippines asked netizens on Facebook and Twitter for their experience with the Messenger mishap and most users responded that they too could not access the media files shared with friends.
