Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — National Basketball Association (NBA) guard Ty Lawson is set to suit up for the Houston Rockets next season after being traded by the Denver Nuggets.
In return for Lawson and a 2017 second round pick, the Rockets will send Kostas Papanikolaou, Pablo Prigioni, Joey Dorsey, Nick Johnson, and a lottery-protected 2016 first round pick.
Lawson recently hit the headlines after being arrested on Tuesday (July 14 PHT) for driving under the influence (DUI) for the second time in just six months.
Following the arrest, Lawson has reportedly started treatment for alcohol abuse.
The Denver Nuggets finished last season in 12th place in the Western Conference, failing to qualify for the playoffs after a regular season record of 30-52.
