Metro Manila, Philippines - National University (NU) gave Bella Belen the honor she deserved after years of bringing pride to the school.

NU has retired the No. 4 jersey of Belen, which means no other player in the women's volleyball program can use it in the future, in a ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 4, during the university's pep rally to kickstart its UAAP Season 88 campaign at the Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

Belen, the first women’s volleyball rookie-Most Valuable Player, helped NU capture three UAAP titles plus a runner-up finish in her stellar collegiate career.

Belen joins Manilla Santos-Ng (De La Salle University) and Rachel Anne Daquis (Far Eastern University) as the UAAP women's volleyball players who had their jerseys retired by their schools.

Belen was the top overall pick in the 2025 Premier Volleyball League Draft and has been playing a crucial role for Alas Piece on the international stage.
