Tropical Depression Mirasol to bring rains in Luzon - PAGASA
Metro Manila, Philippines - Parts of Luzon may have heavy rainfall brought by Tropical Depression Mirasol, the weather bureau said on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
“Mirasol” was at east of Infanta, Quezon as of 2 p.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported in an advisory.
PAGASA had warned authorities and the public in Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, and Aurora to brace for heavy rainfall.
The weather bureau is also monitoring a low pressure area 655 kilometers west of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, but noted that it was unlikely to become a tropical cyclone.
