26 House members support Libanan for minority leader
Metro Manila, Philippines - More than 20 House members have expressed support for 4Ps party-list Rep. Marcelino Libanan as the 20th Congress minority leader.
In a statement on Sunday, July 6, Libanan’s office said a House member coalition, spearheaded by Akbayan party-list and the Liberal Party, has endorsed him.
“With confidence in his ability to lead with honor, wisdom, and dedication, we affirm our collective support for Rep. Libanan as minority leader,” the joint manifesto of support stated.
The 26 House members who supported Libanan are:

Libanan served as the minority leader in the 19th Congress.
Should he be elected again in a caucus of the House minority, he will also be the bloc’s spokesperson.
