DILG suspends classes, gov’t work on July 25
Metro Manila, Philippines - Classes in all levels and work in government offices have been suspended in various parts of Luzon on Friday, July 25, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) announced.
The agency said the suspension of classes and government work covers 35 areas in Luzon.
State weather bureau PAGASA said Typhoon Emong (international name: Co-may) is seen to make landfall or pass very close to northwestern Pangasinan on Thursday evening.
It said “Emong” is also expected to make landfall in La Union or Ilocos Sur on late Thursday evening or early Friday morning, before crossing the mountainous terrain of northern Luzon.
