Fuel prices to go up by P1.80 per liter

Metro Manila, Philippines - Fuel prices will soar by almost P2 per liter starting Tuesday, June 17.

In separate advisories on Monday, industry players said a liter of gasoline and diesel will increase by P1.80.

Kerosene cost, meanwhile, will go up by P1.50 per liter.

The Department of Energy earlier attributed the price hikes to the stalled nuclear negotiations between the United States (US) and Iran, “crude prices extend gains on positive US-China trade signals,” and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries’ anticipated continuous oil demand growth until the next two decades.
