Metro Manila, Philippines - Two drivers from Solid North Bus Inc. - the bus line involved in the tragic collision at the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway - were found positive for drugs after a government mandatory testing, the Department of Transportation said on Friday, May 9.

In a press statement, the agency said the Land Transportation Office will conduct confirmatory tests.

The DOTr said the drivers may face perpetual revocation of license and other criminal charges.

Ten people, including children, were killed in the tragedy after a Solid North bus rammed into four vehicles at the toll plaza on Labor Day, May 1.

Meanwhile, the agency said over 40 out 270 Solid North buses were found road-worthy during an LTO inspection.

Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon earlier ordered the suspension of the bus line’s fleet for 30 days.
