Duterte faces physical injuries, grave threats complaint

Metro Manila, Philippines - Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte is facing complaints of physical injuries and grave threats, Prosecutor General Richard Fadullon confirmed on Friday, May 2.

Based on reports, Duterte allegedly assaulted a civilian and attempted to stab him in a bar in Davao City. The victim, reports said, said he does not know why he was injured.

The case was filed with the Davao Prosecutor’s Office. Fadullon said the case has been transferred to the Department of Justice main office in Manila.

Duterte has yet to issue a statement.
