Metro Manila, Philippines - Motorists can expect slightly cheaper fuel prices as the Department of Energy (DOE) forecasts cost cuts next week.

The anticipated rollback will come after two weeks of fuel price hikes.

Based on the DOE’s estimates on Friday, May 2, the price of gasoline may decrease by P0.25 to P0.70 per liter.

The cost of a liter of diesel may be trimmed by P0.30 to P0.80. Kerosene price may be slashed by P0.50 to P0.70 per liter.

The DOE attributed the price adjustments to the concerns on global market oversupply and on the “weakening economic growth and fuel demand” brought by the United States “erratic” tariff policies.
