Moro group endorses 10 senatorial bets for midterm elections

Metro Manila, Philippines - The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) on Saturday, May 10, endorsed a mix of senators from the admin-backed Alyansa, the Dutertes’ PDP, and the opposition slates for the upcoming May 12 midterm elections.

“In the best interest of the Bangsamoro peace process, the MILF, and United Bangsamoro Justice Party are officially endorsing the following senatorial candidates,” it said in an official statement.

The 12 names in their senatorial list are:

Bong Go

  • Tito Sotto

Bam Aquino

  • Bato Dela Rosa

Kiko Pangilinan

  • Rodante Marcoleta

Francis Tolentino

Erwin Tulfo

  • Pia Cayetano

  • Abby Binay

Imee Marcos

  • Manny Paquiao

Reelectionist senators Go and Dela Rosa are under PDP’s Duter10 slate along with outgoing Rep. Marcoleta.

Imee Marcos, the presidential sister, is also seeking to extend her stay at the Senate. She is an independent candidate who has recently been adopted by PDP after withdrawing from the Alyansa slate.

Meanwhile, Sotto, Tolentino, Tulfo, Cayetano, Binay, and Pacquiao are all members of Alyansa.

Pangilinan and Aquino are endorsed members of the opposition.
