Metro Manila, Philippines - The National University (NU) Bulldogs completed a fourth quarter comeback to beat the Adamson University Soaring Falcons, 56-54, in the UAAP Season 88 men's basketball tournament on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Down by 11 points midway in the final period, Jake Figueroa scored the Bulldogs' last six points as NU went on a 15-2 run to steal the victory. He finished the match with 17 points, three assists, three steals, and two blocks.

The Soaring Falcons had the opportunity to snatch the win, but Matt Erolon missed a jump shot then Anthony Fransman lost the ball to Figueroa in the dying seconds of the contest.

The Bulldogs now occupy solo second in the team standings with a 4-1 win-loss slate, while Adamson fell to 1-4 for seventh place.

Jolo Manansala and Gelo Santiago each produced nine points for NU.

Cedrick Manzano tallied 16 markers and four boards for the Soaring Falcons.

The Bulldogs will aim for back-to-back victories against the De La Salle University Green Archers on Oct. 12 at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion in Manila.

Adamson, meanwhile, will tackle the struggling University of the East Red Warriors on Oct. 11 at the Blue Eagle Gym in Quezon City.
