QCinema International Film Festival launches 13th edition ‘Film City’
Metro Manila, Philippines - The Quezon City government officially launched the 13th edition of the QCinema International Film Festival, themed “Film City,” celebrating cinema that reflects on the art of filmmaking and the city’s role as the creative capital.
Running from Nov. 14 to 23, the festival will feature a diverse lineup of local and international films that explore cinema about cinema, stories that look inward at the craft and culture of filmmaking.
Mayor Joy Belmonte said the city remains committed to making quality films more accessible to the public. Festival tickets will be priced at ₱250.
“It is important that every citizen has access to quality films, especially those that deal with timely and relevant themes,” Belmonte said. “Through initiatives like the QCinema Campus Tour and community screenings in barangays, we hope to bring these stories closer to the people.”
The mayor also thanked partners, filmmakers, and audiences who have supported the festival since its inception.
“We are grateful for the unwavering support that has allowed QCinema to grow into one of the country’s most respected film festivals,” she added.
The local government said QCinema will continue its outreach screenings in schools and communities while showcasing a mix of independent and international titles across various venues.
