Metro Manila, Philippines – A self-confessed bagman and former aide of resigned congressman Zaldy Co claimed he delivered suitcases containing money to Sen. Tito Sotto, former senator Sonny Trillanes, and former Marikina representative Stella Quimbo.

Prosecution witness, Rodante Orbillo, made the allegations during Thursday’s bail hearing of former House Speaker Martin Romualdez before the Sandiganbayan, as he testified about alleged cash deliveries from 2022 to 2024.

Sotto dismissed the allegation, saying, “Old story. Does not deserve a response.”

Trillanes denied the claim, saying, “Definitely not true.”

He added that the former colleagues of Orbillo had already recanted and denied the allegations that they delivered suitcases of money to him.

Trillanes also questioned Ombudsman Boying Remulla’s alleged collaboration with lawyer Levito Baligod and the witnesses he called the “maleta boys,” saying they had also implicated President Bongbong Marcos and his son Rep. Sandro Marcos in alleged suitcase deliveries.
