Big-time fuel price hike set for July 28-August 3

Metro Manila, Philippines – Motorists are set to face another substantial fuel price hike effective Tuesday, July 28, according to the Department of Energy (DOE).

The price adjustments were based on last week’s global oil market movements amid continuing tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.

The following price increases will take effect:

  • Gasoline: +₱6.80 per liter
  • Diesel: +₱7.32 per liter
  • Kerosene: +₱4.22 per liter

Meanwhile, several oil companies have announced slightly different adjustments.

Petron, Seaoil, and Shell will implement the following increases:

  • Gasoline: +₱6.80 per liter
  • Diesel: +₱7.30 per liter
  • Kerosene: +₱4.20 per liter

Unioil will apply the same adjustments, except for kerosene, which it does not offer.
