
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Jackson Vroman, former import of Barangay Ginebra, was found dead in a pool at his home Monday (June 29), according to a report by The Salt Lake Tribune.
Earlier reports said Vroman died in a car accident, but Dan Bilzerian, a friend of Vroman’s, went on social media saying that the 34-year-old cager hit his head and drowned in his pool.

The Los Angeles County Examiner-Coroner’s office said that no report is available yet but is expected upon the completion of the autopsy after a few days.
Vroman suited up for Barangay Ginebra in the 2012 Commissioner’s Cup, averaging 16.6 points, 12.0 rebounds and 2.4 blocks in 11 games.
Prior to playing for the Gin Kings, he had stints in the National Basketball Association with the Phoenix Suns (2004-2005) and the New Orleans Hornets (2005-2006). He also played with a few clubs overseas.
In 2009 he was naturalized as a Lebanese citizen to play for the national basketball team of Lebanon.
