Peque Gallaga merges two art forms

(CNN Philippines) — Peque Gallaga is a multi-awarded filmmaker who is most known for his direction of Oro, Plata, Mata, but he showcased his other passion at a recent exhibit — painting.

Gallaga’s first solo exhibit called ‘Gray Matters’ is inspired by his native land, Negros and his fellow Negrenses.

“There’s a lot of drama in my work. There is a certain amount of directing and storytelling involved,” he said.

Catch Gallaga’s exhibit in Art Verite in Serenda, Bonifacio Global City until May 2 (Saturday).
