Metro Manila, Philippines –  Filipino-American singer Jessica Sanchez says she is excited to share the stage with some of the country’s music icons as she returns to Manila for her upcoming concert this weekend.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the show, Sanchez said audiences can expect a “very special night” filled with collaborations, surprises, and performances highlighting her musical journey from childhood singing competitions to her latest album release.

“There’s going to be a lot of amazing things happening for the show. You’re not going to want to miss it,” Sanchez said.

Sanchez said the concert lineup includes some of the biggest names in Original Pilipino Music (OPM), including Regine Velasquez, Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera, Morissette, Vice Ganda, James Reid, Darren Espanto, and Sofronio Vasquez.

“I’m so excited to perform with these legends. It’s going to be amazing,” she said.

The singer said the concert will also feature songs from her newly released eight-track album “Season,” including her collaboration with Morissette titled “Stronger Than Before.”

“I’m going to just kind of be highlighting my journey,” Sanchez said. “I feel like my journey has been on the internet since I was 10 years old.”

Sanchez earlier performed during the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit in Cebu, where she also shared the stage with Filipino singer Sofronio Vasquez.

“Oh my gosh, I love Sofronio. He is so awesome, not only as a talent, but also as a person,” she said. “He’s just been such an amazing person to collaborate with on stage.”

She also expressed hope to collaborate more with Filipino artists while staying in Manila.

“I’m just so excited to be back here in Manila,” Sanchez said. “I really, really am hoping that I can extend and stay and hopefully collaborate.”

Sanchez, who rose to fame after competing in American Idol and later winning “America’s Got Talent Season 20,” also reflected on the growing visibility of Filipino artists on the global stage.

“It was really hard for Filipinos to shine,” she said. “And I feel like now we’re really getting our chance out there, and we’re really showing everybody all around the world that us Filipinos, we got talent in every area.”
