Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 7) — While new hosts for “Eat Bulaga” were introduced, the show’s production company TAPE Inc. on Wednesday said former main hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon (TVJ) will remain unbeatable.
“We are not here to compare, I will always repeat that we will never beat TVJ,” TAPE Inc. Chief Financial Officer Bullet Jalosjos told CNN Philippines’ The Source.
“TVJ is TVJ. Ang laki ng respeto namin sa kanila (we have a big respect for them),” he added.
TVJ and other former hosts of the longest-running noontime show on Wednesday announced that they signed an agreement with Mediaquest Group, making TV5 their new home.
This development came after the hosts left TAPE Inc. last week.
According to Mediaquest, the former hosts of “Eat Bulaga” will be producing content for TV5 and its other platforms.
No details were provided yet regarding the content, but Tito earlier told CNN Philippines they aim to be back on television in July.
Jalosjos said he does not see the move of TVJ as a threat, and he is also glad the TVJ and the other former hosts have found their new home.
