Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Leading a company can be heavy for corporate leaders. But for two executives, managing a nationwide banking business is not big enough to stop them from fulfilling their responsibilities as husbands and fathers.
With the recent Father’s Day celebration, BDO Capital and Investment Corp. President Eduardo Francisco and Head of Corporate Finance Gabriel Lim revealed how they balance their responsibilities in the workplace and time for their families.

For Francisco, his family is a higher priority than his job. He said that while his son and daughter are in another country, he finds time to talk to them via video call.
Francisco also said BDO is his second home.
\”We treat our staff as our children. They’re the age of my children now, so I really want them to succeed,\” he added.
On the other hand, Lim said he reserves his weekends for his family as he tries to cherish every moment he has with them.

\”I make it a point that we travel once or twice a year together so that we spend time bonding with each other,\” he added.
While admitting that their job does entail them to work on weekends, Lim said he sets aside holidays apart and makes sure nothing pulls him away from his family.
He also highlights the need to always communicate with loved ones. He said his children are not interested in banking, so he finds common interests and talk about these with his children.
Asked about the lesson they would want to share with fathers, Francisco advised them to \”make the most of every day\” with their wives and children.
Lim backed this up and advised fathers: \”Don’t say, ‘I’m so busy, I don’t have time.’ We must make time.\”
