Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 13) — West zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services Inc. (Maynilad) on Tuesday said that its newly constructed modular treatment plant in Imus, Cavite will start producing an initial 5.5 million liters per day (MLD) of potable water starting this month.

Maynilad said that the ₱2.12 billion-Anabu modular treatment plant will get its raw water supply from Anabu River and will serve as the dedicated supply source for Imus.

\”With the commissioning of this new facility, we can lengthen supply availability in this part of the West concession that has yet to be provided with 24-hour water service,\” said Maynilad chief operating officer Randolph Estrellado in a statement.

The water concessionaire said that the initial 5.5 MLD is enough to supply the needs of over 13,000 customers.
