
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 15) – Team Lakay kickboxer Jean Claude “The Dynamite” Saclag on Monday defended his gold medal once again at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Saclag, a wushu practitioner-turned-kickboxer, bested hometown bet San Rakim in the men’s lowkick tournament in the under 63.5 kilogram weight division.
His win brought the Philippines its 51st gold medal. It also marked his second defense of the 63.5kg division crown.
In the 2019 Games in Manila, he bested Malaysian fighter Mohammed Mahmoud to win his first gold in the biennial games.
