Workers to get free train rides on Labor Day

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 29) — All private and public sector workers will get free rides at the Light Rail Transit-Line 2 and Metro Rail Transit-Line 3 on May 1 in commemoration of Labor Day.

In separate advisories by the Department of Labor and Employment and MRT-3 management, the free train rides will be from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

All passengers will still have to undergo the usual bag inspection and wear their face masks inside the trains.

Job seekers who will visit the job fair sites in various locations in Metro Manila are expected to benefit from this free train ride, DOLE said.

The LRT-2 has 13 stations: Recto, Legarda, Pureza, V.Mapa, J.Ruiz, Gilmore, Betty Go-Belmonte, Araneta Center-Cubao, Anonas, Katipunan, Santolan, Marikina-Pasig, and Antipolo.

Meanwhile, the MRT-3 stations are North Avenue, Quezon Avenue, Kamuning, Araneta Center-Cubao, Santolan, Ortigas, Shaw Blvd., Boni, Guadalupe, Buendia, Ayala, Magallanes, and Taft Avenue.
