PH signs deal with Indonesia to acquire 6 aircraft

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 14) — The government signed a contract with an Indonesian company for the purchase of six light lift fixed-wing aircraft (NC212i).

According to the Indonesian embassy in Manila, the aircraft will be utilized by the Philippine Air Force. The aircraft from PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) are expected in the country in the last week of the month.

PTDI also sealed a deal to maintain two NC212i units obtained in 2014.

Indar Atmoko, group head commercial of PTDI, said the six aircraft are part of the procurement in 2014.
